Driving Test Package Includes:

• Pick-up 1.5 hours before the test.

• Travel time to the RMS Testing Centre (20-30 minutes).

• A 45-minute warm-up lesson to refresh skills and boost confidence.

• Use of the school's car for the actual driving test.

• Drop-off after the test results are received.

That’s why I offer Older Driver Assessments conducted by a qualified and experienced senior driver assessor. These assessments are designed to help senior drivers maintain the skills and confidence needed to stay safe and independent on the road.

For many of us, driving is more than just a convenience—it's a key part of daily life. Losing the ability to drive, or even facing restrictions on how far you can travel, can significantly impact your independence and lifestyle. That’s why I encourage our senior drivers to complete their assessments in their own vehicle, making the experience more familiar and comfortable.

Just like an Service NSW Older Driver Assessment, my assessments can be completed close to home, where I come to your residence and drive a route that is familiar to your everyday driving.

Senior Driving Requirements: What You Need to Know

75+ Years

• A medical assessment is required annually.

• Service NSW will send you the paperwork two months before your 75th birthday.

• You can return the completed documents to Service NSW—or your doctor can submit them on your behalf.

​

85+ Years

• You must choose between continuing with an unrestricted licence or switching to a modified licence.

• To retain an unrestricted licence, you must:

  • Complete a yearly medical assessment, and

  • Pass an on-road driving assessment every two years.

  You have two options for the on-road assessment:

  1. Complete it with an Service NSW testing officer at a Service NSW Testing Centre, or

  2. Complete it with myself being an accredited senior driving assessor from the comfort of your own home and in your own vehicle.

  There is no limit to the number of assessments you can undertake within the two-month period leading up to your 85th birthday.

Modified Licences (85+ Years)

• A modified licence only requires an annual medical assessment—no on-road driving test is needed.

• This licence allows you to drive within a defined local area to access essential services like:

  • Medical appointments

  • Grocery shopping

  • Community activities

  If you live in regional NSW, the approved driving area will reflect local distances to essential services.
